06 Feb 08 Problem #77 & Chapter 4 Test Review
I thought I could have done a better job at explaining #77 from class on 2/6, so I went ahead and recorded a screen capture (w/sound) of another run through of the problem: Part1, Part2
The files are in flash format and are pretty small (<4mb each), so you should be able to play them fine. Email me if you have any issues.
Last night I wanted to see what more I could do with my shiny new tablet, so I setup an online study session. Here is a recording of what went down. Note: I was on a conference call with three students during the session. You can only hear me in the recording.

This format worked really well for me. I wasn’t a part of this study session but the night before our test Phil C. and I were able to ask Mr. Seamon about specific questions on Gmail Chat and see him go through the whole problem step by step while he explained what he was doing. It helped me understand it much better and was a lot easier than editing and sharing a Google Doc back and forth.
The UStream system is great. It’s like having an online class with your teacher and other students, so it’s really helpful, because you get to see what they would do and go through the whole problem one on one with the teacher almost. Also the conference call line works great with it. As tori said it really is much easier than using a google doc cuz its in real time and its also audio. The tablet is what really helps the most with it cuz you can write what ever you want, with out having to use a equation editor or winplot.
